Spring is finally here!
The season takes on different meanings for people. To some, it means enjoying warmer weather; to others, it’s a new chapter – a move that is filled with excitement, apprehension, and everything in-between. Over my 15 years, I’ve seen this in our new residents at this time of the year.
When meeting a new member of our community I like to emphasize that moving here is not giving up independence: rather, it’s about continuing to live a fulfilling, active life through our supportive care and lifestyle programs – all in the comfort of a warm and welcoming environment.
I am hopeful that many will find their way into The Shores of Port Credit!

Meet Ray – Our Friendly Maintenance Assistant!
Say hello to Raymond Trimm – around here, everyone just calls him Ray. He is a valued part of our community with his easygoing nature and can-do attitude, Ray is a familiar, friendly face to all.
Before The Shores, Ray worked in animation and visual effects, on several major projects—including Disney and Marvel movies. It’s a big shift from movie sets to maintenance, and Ray brings the same creativity, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving to his work here every day….
